Job Summary
Assists principals and teachers with improving instruction in the arts by coaching, training, and supporting the district-wide implementation of standards-based instruction. Strong partnerships have been developed with national and local arts organizations to support arts education and arts integration in our schools. The successful candidate will further develop these partnerships and will assist principals and teachers in developing high quality arts integrated instruction that furthers academic achievement in all subject areas.

Essential Functions
1. Collaborates with classroom teachers and Curriculum and Instruction staff regarding standards-based instruction. 2. Provides input and support to principals and teachers relative to curriculum and instructional methodology to ensure the integrity of arts integration programs. 3. Works with academic services and the school principal to prepare and implement curriculum materials and resources. 4. Participates in evaluation and selection of materials and equipment appropriate to teaching of assigned curriculum in the schools. 5. Forges new partnerships and support existing partnerships between the arts integration schools and universities, community organizations, and other entities within the local arts community. 6. Conducts classroom visits for the purpose of co-teaching and co-planning. 7. Participates in the development and teaching of in-service courses in relation to Arts content, methods, and strategies. 8. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Master’s degree in an area of the Arts preferred.
Experience: Five (5) years teaching experience with background in curriculum planning, articulation, instruction, model lessons, training, feedback, follow-up. Demonstrated skill in organizing and conducting in-service training and professional growth activities.
Certifications & Licenses: Florida Department of Education Certification.
