Job Summary

 

Leads and manages Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) department in planning, prioritization, designing, implementation, integration, development, and enhancement of an ERP System in support of DCPS instructional communities and district administrative offices.

 

Essential Functions

 

1. Leads, directs, and manages ERP operations; recruits, selects, orients, trains, coaches, counsels, and disciplines staff. Plans, monitors, appraises, and reviews staff job contributions.
2. Directs, authorizes, and coordinates development, maintenance and production activities regarding the district Enterprise Resource Planning (SAP) software system including system upgrades and ensuring that documentation is completed and available on the IM Change Management application.
3. Directs research on potential technology solutions and implementations in support of new initiatives, opportunities, and procurement efforts. Determines boundaries and priorities of new projects, and discusses system capacity and equipment acquisitions with upper management.
4. Responsible for keeping up to date on current technology being used by DCPS with the support of the district, attends training to ensure skill level in various technologies is at the level required to perform in current position
5. Informs the Chief Information Officer and Technology Leadership Team about critical or time sensitive technology issues and incidents.
6. Provides expertise and support to instructional and district offices to meet ERP and other technical needs.
7. Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

 

Education:  Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent supervisory and/or management work experience.

 

Experience:  Five (5) or more years of progressive, responsible experience in the areas of analysis, development, programming, and implementation within an ERP landscape.  Knowledge of educational business systems preferred.

 

Certifications & Licenses:  Relevant ERP certification preferred.

• Knowledge of district business processes such as Finance, Human Resources, Funds Management, Payroll, Asset Management, Logistics, and Financial Accounting
• Knowledge of ERP systems installation, programming, analysis and design principles, practices, procedures, and techniques
• Knowledge of relational databases and client server concepts
• Knowledge of systems design and development process
• Knowledge of SAP configuration and transport functionality
• Knowledge of SAP standard business processes
• Knowledge of SAP Best Practices
• Knowledge of business analysis processes
• Knowledge of state Department of Education mandated reporting requirements
• Knowledge of SAP data structures and tables
